Action Wipes: Not for Babies

A 5-pack of Action Wipes vs. a 15-pack of baby wipes

A 5-pack of Action Wipes vs. a 15-pack of baby wipes

Thanks to Martha Van Inwegen (@MarthaVan on Twitter) we got to tryout a pack of Action Wipes on last weekend’s camping trip to the beach. Action Wipes are reusable, and made with a woven construction that is much thicker and tougher than traditional baby wipes. I used a single Action Wipe all weekend long, and it still looks like it just came out of the package.

The interesting thing about Action Wipes, for campers, is that they are reusable by simply washing like you would any regular towel. Of course, they don’t take up nearly as much space as a regular towel, but also their woven construction allows them to dry very quickly. Maybe Martha needs to sell some Action Wipes scented like a musty old tent, because without the aroma of damp towels it didn’t seem like a normal camping weekend!

Check out Action Wipes at www.actionwipes.com. A package of five Action Wipes is $3.49 and a package of fifteen is $9.49.

  1. Besides on camping trips and at the beach, the Action Wipes would be great for office workers also. I know a lot of people sneak in a little exercise by taking brisk walks during their lunch break but there’s no shower at the office to freshen up after. This world be perfect. I like that it’s natural ingredients also.

    • Hi Vickie – I don’t think they would last like a regular cloth towel, but I washed one a few times (just threw it in with the clothes) and it still looked new. I’m sure you can ask them for a sample – worth a try, anyway 🙂

  3. How well would these hold up cleaning, surface rust off chrome wheels?I need something that can take the beating, baby wipes just don’t cut it they fall apart and leave a film, all over cleaned metals.I would also use them to wipe down my fiberglass boat after a day of fishing, in the Missouri river.

Walter, as Roy mentioned, they’re 9×10″ in size and just as strong as Handi Wipes®. The difference is the aromatherapy “stuff”, which happen to be naturally anti-bacterial and the gently rinse free sudsing action that cleans the dirt and grime out of your pores. They’re a great shower alternative. If you prefer to use Handi Wipes®, we do offer a “Sports Spray” that gives you the same benefits that are in the Action Wipes. Simply wet your wipe, spray, clean.

  5. I’m trying to remember what Handi Wipes look like – I think we’ve used them in the kitchen as dish towels, but I’m just not sure. Action Wipes are about 10″ x 9″.

  6. These look just like Handi Wipes®, which have been around for a long time, maybe thirty years? $2.50 for a pack of 6, without the aromatherapy stuff. Our family used Handi Wipes for camping.

The Action Wipes site says their wipes are “big”, but I can’t find an actual size. Handi Wipes are 11×21 inches.
