No, I’m not talking about portable heaters and satellite TV, this is gear designed for actual babies – the kind that crawl around on the ground and eat dirt. Camping gear for babies and toddlers has come a long way in the past five years. Here are some baby products that can make your next family camping adventure a more relaxing and enjoyable experience.
I can remember the howls of protest from our son, being strapped into the stroller while his sisters got to run around the campsite. The PopATot may not solve all of those issues, but your baby is sure to be happier in it, than a stroller. The PopATot folds-up just like a bag chair for easy carrying and storage.
Just because you’ve got a growing family doesn’t mean you have to stop hitting the trails! To call it the “Hummer of strollers” is an injustice to the BOB’s highly maneuverable design and super-comfortable ride, thanks to 16-inch wheels and 3-inches of suspension travel on the rear axle.
Even if you don’t plan on hiking with your baby, a good carrier like the FC 3.0 doubles as a camping highchair, which makes mealtimes a breeze. If you do take baby hiking, the innovative sun and rain hood on the FC 3.0 will also protect your baby from wayward brush and branches.
The best part about all this baby gear is that it works great for all kinds of different situations, not just camping. Use the PopATot when visiting at other people’s houses, cruise the mall with the BOB or the FC 3.0 – these products give you the freedom to do things together, and isn’t that what family life is all about?

I’ve never seen the popATot before. Really cool. Plus it would be a great way to feed your busy baby in one spot, with no highchair around.
shawna’s last blog post..Share Your Love Of Nature
Hi Shawna, yes that looks like a really useful product since it is so portable. We always used a stroller as a “high chair,” which of course is cumbersome to pack around, doesn’t roll in the dirt and doesn’t keep the baby very happy (too confining).
A giant pit will work well too. Plus you can bury your inlaws in it before you pack up and leave…

I don’t know, VE, if sequestered in a giant pit they might turn out to be…humor bloggers! A fate worse than a life in politics.
I like that popATot it does look like you could take it camping or any outdoor get together.
