National Parks Could Close March 4

Next Friday, March 4th, the federal government will shutdown if Congress and the President do not come together on a new budget. One of the fallouts of a government shutdown is that national parks, along with BLM and US Forest Sevice campgrounds, will close. It is still early in the camping season, but if the budget battle drags on, it could impact spring camping plans for a lot of families.

  1. I think this would be an absolute disaster. The great outdoors in one of lifes pleasures. I hope this sorts itself out soon.

  2. That would be a real shame, I hope it doesn’t happen, seems to go against families, health and excercise if you ask me. If it does happen, consider coming up a little further north to B.C., Canada. We’ve got an xceptional outdoor playground for you and your family to explore!
    Cheers and all the best

    • We definitely are, Leanne! I have a good friend in Chetwynd, so we plan on making a trip up there soon to visit and see some of the great provincial parks.
