Camelbak Goes Stainless Steel

May 4, 2009 · 2 comments

camelbak-stainless-bottleHydration pack and sports bottle manufacturer Camelbak® has introduced a line of stainless steel bottles, including a double-wall insulated version. The company continues to offer its Tritan™ bottles.

Camelbak’s new bottles go head-to-head with stainless steel leader Kleen Kanteen®, in both specifications and promotional pricing. Stainless steel sports bottles are much more durable than plastic, and they do not require plastic liners like aluminum bottles. This makes them suitable for hot liquids, particularly the insulated version that should stay cool to the touch.

Earlier this year, Klean Kanteen introduced their Sport Cap 2.0 which competes with Camelbak’s Better Bottle Cap, with a carabiner loop and a hands-free valve.
